Official: Next EU anti-Russian sanctions to include oil price cap

WARSAW, Oct 3 (PRIME) – The E.U. countries have agreed to limit prices for Russian oil in the next package of sanctions, Polish Ambassador to Brussels Andrzej Sados told reporters on Monday.

“I would not like to disclose in detail the issues discussed behind the closed doors. It is about the G7 proposal to establish the maximum price of Russian oil,” he said.

He also said that the price will be set on the principle of consensus and may change depending on the world quotations.

The E.U. countries also failed to agree on inclusion of diamonds from Russia into the list of restricted goods, Sados added.
